Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of these two brands of Chinese ukuleles.
I'm travelling to China in a few weeks and I've been researching the Chinese brands available over there. These look very good, but I'm a bit confused by the terminology/translations that appear.
It seems that veneer means solid wood - iw ould've thought that meant laminate.
They also sometimes use the term all single.
I'll be bringing back a tenor size (they call them 26") and the Brightsun and Realsun ukuleles seem reasonably priced.

Thank you

veneer means solid wood, yes it means wood.
There are 3 different kinds of materials.
1. All single means the front, back and side are made of wood.
2. Front single means only the front board is made of wood. The back and sides are made of laminate.
3. All laminate means completely made of laminate.

Realsun is one of the best brands available so you got a excellent Uku.

Veneer means a very thin layer of fancy looking wood bonded to either a solid wood or a laminate.

A while ago one of the mfgs was touting a solid wood uke where the top back and sides were made of solid ash(?)
