Hi,

I have just acquired the ukulele shown in the attached images and would love to know if anyone could please give me an idea of its age.

Thank you in response of your replies,

princey

This caused me to go looking and apparently the blue label indicates 1940s, and one forum thread seemed to imply that Harmony was providing ukuleles for Stewart at this time. I’m not an expert on ukulele age and value...I just like every ukulele I meet!

I have one that have solid brass tuning friction pegs that fit into a brass sleeve. Very light and work well. Perhaps they had to go to plastic sometime during the war or those were retro fitted.

Pre 50s for sure on my guess, the asymmetrical body is unique. If the fingerboard is bound as it appears to my eye- I like that very much.
