Feeling tense

Hi everyone.

I just put a set of Guadalupe GCEA (low G) strings on my Pono MGBD. I’m pretty happy with the sound but man these are some thick strings. I know the Pono has a truss rod so I’m hoping there are no issues with the higher tension compared to the standard DGBE setup. What’s your experience with these strings. Any need to adjust the truss rod or adjust the setup? The strings sit pretty high in the slots on the nut. Seems to be ok though.

I have a vintage Regent Baritone I picked up off of craigslist and put Aquila baritone gcea strings on it with a wound low G, the tension is pretty high on those too. I'm thinking of putting regular DGBE on it and selling it. Not my scale length anyway...
