There are some people who use picks, and I'm sure that they will check in here in time, but most ukulele players do not use picks. They strum with their fingers.Well as you guessed....new here and a question I cannot seem to find the answer to readily.
What pick if you use one do you use to play the uke?
Material & thickness is what I guess I am looking to.
The major issue with using a pick is that the top of your uke is 2 - 3mm thick, maybe a bit less. If it is a softer wood, or even a harder wood, about five attacks with the wrong pick can put a hole in the top of your uke. If you are madly strumming away, that can be over in about five seconds. So you need to think about the pick in terms of the damage to the top, as well as the sound you want. .
Nice playing Brenda. Very expressive, as usual.
