D'Addario makes 4 types of ukulele strings: titanium, black nylon, nyltec, & (fluoro)carbon.

My baritone uke is much too bright. Which of these types of strings would best darken it up?

Nylon always seems to have the warmest tone, followed by the Titaniums. Give those a try first, I personally like the Titaniums a lot but nylon will be warmer.

On their website, they have a chart explaining this.

You might consider Oasis Warm or Worth Brown. Might get a better result. And you get two string sets in each pack.

Thanks! I found it. They have a great, sliding chart that is coded to each of the uke strings they produce. Plus, there is a picture of each string type. Click on any one of the pictures & you go to a detailed description of what that type of string does.

Best reference site I have ever come across. It is at...
