I've been thinking about trying a Soprano Ukulele for a while but never had a good opportunity to get acquainted with one. I was at the Allegheny Ukulele Soiree this past weekend and Mim (of Mim's Ukes) had a nice selection of instruments. After trying out just about every soprano she had, I realized that a soprano fretboard was just too cramped for my pudgy fingers. However, the Ohana Super Soprano was perfect. It has a concert-size neck grafted to a soprano body, so it gave me the best of both worlds. Of course, it sounds fantastic and Mim gave it her usual world-class setup, so it's as good as it can get.

And did I mention it's gorgeous?

I'll probably change the Aquila strings to flurocarbons soon and I'll be installing a strap pin. I expect I'll be playing this one a lot!

Southcoast SMU is what I'd try, or worth browns, or Living Water

Couldn't quite convince myself I needed that particular model, but looked at it often, (maybe, one day), congrats, enjoy. :)

Beautiful. I was there, too, and I bought a Dewdrop - two tables down.

I spent some time looking at those Dewdrops. Very interesting instruments! The builder pointed out that there are zero right angles on the instrument. How do you like the sound/playability?

Probably will go with the Worth Browns or maybe Worth Clear. I've got the Browns on a tenor and really like them.
