So, I have a soprano uke tuned to C-Tuning (gcea, right?). If I want to learn a song that is in D-Tuning (adf#b?), what is the easiest way to do that without re-tuning?

The capo on the 2nd fret confuses me because what if I need to play a chord on the first two frets?

Thanks!
:anyone:

Pretend the capo is the nut and play the chord on the first two frets past the capo.

Ahhh! Well, that's very helpful...and is there another way without using a capo or re-tuning?

Sure. You can:

Just play the song as written.

If it's tabs or chord diagrams, then just play the frets where they say to play them. You'll wind up being a whole step lower, but other than that, it should sound fine. You can ignore the chord names.
If it's just chord names (i.e., only letters), then just play the chords as written. You'll be in the right key, but the chords might not be very easy to play.

Transpose the song down to C tuning.
