Port Orford Cedar in UK

Try David Dyke. He sent me a sample once.

However, I tried it and it ain't anything special. I have englemann, red spruce, moon spruce and pencil cedar. They all work well for me. If you buy brace wood form David there are often pieces in the parcel which can be resawn for ukulele fronts.

Thank you for your quick response Pete.

I know that the luthier has more of an effect on the sound of a ukulele, but the choice between spruce, and all of it's different variants, and cedar, and all of it's different variants, is bewildering.

The reason I was looking for Port Orford is that is seems to be as good as any cedar, but more robust.

Variety is the spice of life I suppose.....
