I've been seeing UAS a lot on the forum and I was wondering what it means. THANKS!!!

In other words, the uncontrollable compulsion to buy more ukuleles.

Equivalent disorders affect players of other instruments. It is a terrible illness... ;)

UAS reality:

I played a used $150 Kala cutaway tenor for a year and a half.
When I had a bit of cushion money and wanted to get a REAL nice uke.
I ordered something from KoAloha......and thought that would be the end of it all.

Got my custom Pineapple Sunday in April.......since then...2 more customs, 2 vintage martins and another custom is being built for me now.

UAS..it's NOT a myth!!!!!

On Harmony Central's Guitar forum, you hear a lot of talk about GAS. So, UAS sounds much better than the alternative... and GAS is really bad when you are into $2000 dollar Martin guitars.

Nice collection, Tim.

I can relate... btw...

When I got married I had seven guitars and about the same number of ukuleles. I got rid of all the guitars and grabbed one, a Masterbilt DR500mens. Then, I sold it to a friend. I have couple Martins, an Ibanez, a Washburn Rover now. I am tempted to grab a Tak NewYorker but throw an LR Baggs in it.

GAS... oh yeah.

I am imune to UAS though ;)
The cure is to don't afford them.
