Just finished up slotting a fretboard. What fretwire you guys recommend use now a days?

So far I just got some from hanalima shop, i like it, there really fat and tall. looking at some threads Evo golds come up alot.

Mahalos.

Nvm most of the Evor golds are pre radiused. I need straight ones.

The finest EVO Gold is flat. I get it from Jescar.

Otherwise I use Stewmac low narrow #764

I don't think fat and tall is what you want for a slick playing uke. I prefer thin and low.

I've often thought thin and low are desirable like on vintage ukuleles. I've got some German Brass fret wire that I used on a UBass and it worked well. Just a step up from fretless.

Yeah but some reason I do like the fatter and taller fret found on koalohas. Makes it so easy to fret.

Jescar. Narrows 37053?

Dosnt higher fret make a longer sustain slide. Ive noticed thin low profile frets cant get a good sustain sound when sliding fret to fret. Or even a good loud hammer on/off

What’s the low wire that Kiwaya uses?
