The ukulele community is a wonderful place. Over the years I have made many acquaintances and a few friends through this forum and related connections.
Just wanted to share a connection that was made over about half the world. I was recently in Japan for business and ended up at a great uke shop outside Kamakura run by Jun Horiguchi. He was kind enough to invite me over, and this is the sort of thing that happens when uke players get together.
Jun felt he could not speak English well (although much better than my non-existent Japanese), but music is the universal language, yes?
Sorry for the somewhat abrupt ending - my phone ran out of storage.
