Hi folks,

I'm offering my Lanikai bari for sale to good home. It's the pre-tuna Lanikai series, which is better IMO, because the bridge is fixed and intonation is perfect. Made 2015 or before.

Laminate Nato (mahogany?), very light build, massive bout means big sound, exceptionally sweet condition. Sealed geared tuners work just fine. Gold strap button on base (yikes!).

I bought off eBay and it came with a slight buzz from a slightly loose top brace, which a local luthier reglued. Buzz begone!

I bought this mainly to have a linear option, as all my other ukes are tuned re-entrant. I also had a lot of fun with it using a capo and messing around with open tuning for blues.

I'm selling because my stubby fingers can't handle the stretches on some basic chords (Dm7, Fm). It's why I can't play a standard scale guitar and have trouble with a guitarlele.

It's a lot of fun. But I can't play all of it. If I could, I wouldn't sell it, that's for sure. For the price, it's a keeper if you have normal reach.

I also swapped the original Aquila strings for Worth clears. The unwound D may seem a bit boomy, and if you don't like that, no problem! I'm including a new set of Aquila baritone GCEA strings a friend gave me (he thought he was buying DGBEs). And, of course, if you do like the Worths, you always get two sets for the price of one, so the extra set's in the package, too.

Along with a padded gig bag.

Asking $120 including shipping CONUS. Photos below along with a couple of my cringeworthy Seasons of the Ukulele videos playing this guy.
