comparing solid spruce tops

Looking at tenor ukuleles with solid spruce tops and solid sides (rosewood etc.)

The familiar names come up: Kala, Ohana (seems this is the MOST offered brand on the planet)...

Also looking at Mainland (anyone have a spruce top?)

And the stretch would be LoPrinzi and Pono for me...

I don't live in an area where I can try any of these, so I welcome opinions....

KALAAAAA!

I'm not biased or anything but my main workhorse is a beautiful, light little kala with a solid spruce top and acacia back and sides. I find it's very mild and mellow, and the longer I own it the sweeter it gets would definitely recommend!
