I just ordered a harmonica neck holder and a 10 hole harmonica from sweetwater. Not a lot of money in case I get discouraged. I am working on "the boxer". Thought I could do the synthesizer ( I think) part with the harmonica.

Isn't it funny how tides of coincidence flow, I picked up my harmonica last week to play some blues licks to "Me and Bobby Magee" with my uke group, and on the way home heard "The Boxer" on the radio and immediately thought that I should try the solo part on the harmonica (I'm pretty sure it's a flute), but might need a chromatic, though I don't know music and would have to test if all the notes are on a diatonic.

There's lots of harmonica instruction available online. I've been playing (with) the harmonica since I was a kid. I play that about as well as I play the ukulele. I have quite a few harmonicas, of course.

Are saying there is also a NHD risk I have exposed myself to?

Harmonicas seem to multiply on their own - & you can get a lot into just one small drawer.

It will be while before I will be doing that. I thought of the boxer because the instrument can be played as a solo. Maybe add the strings later.

it takes a bit of practice but its great fun, here is my friend and me (I'm on the Uke and Harmonica) we released a single to support the welsh football team when they reached the European Championships a few years ago

About 30 years ago I bought a Lee Oscar diatonic C harp, then an A. They turned into a Bb, D, E, F and G, but what's really remarkable, they also spawned a Koch chromatic C, cross species (which I still have to learn how to play).
