Wow, beautiful. While not in the same class at all, I bought a roosebeck lute a lelee. Wish I had bought the variegated wood on the bowl. That is really beautiful.

Thanks! I do actually build something very similar! If you look at the mandore on my website that works well as a uke-sized lute. I'm currently building a 4 stringed variegated version for a customer who wants it tuned like a mandolin, but it'd work great tuned like a uke too.

Very nice. Five strings how is that tuned?

Do you mean the mandore? It's tuned gcead, but pretty much any other tuning is possible. I also build a 4 stringed version.
