No way. It's a 1920s, mainland build, most likely Chicago, probably Regal.

Yeah, possibly. The headstock is like some early Gretsches. The body less so. Another possibility is the original Oscar Schmidt company of New Jersey.

The only thing I am absolutely certain of is that it is not a Martin

Points well-taken. That headstock does in fact seem kinda "Gretschesque" !!
