I never intended to build/play ukulele. I do build/play mountain dulcimer, banjo, mandolin, guitar (at various levels of competency). After a chance deal on some tops and backs which included some koa, I thought I better build a uke. On #7 now and 5 and 6 were such fun to play and sounded great, so instead of just test driving my ukes for a while before they sell, I'm keeping this one and adding ukulele to my list of things I play. I think I got the top and bracing pretty close to just right. Sounds really good.
