I just recently purchased a used in nice condition Kamaka pineapple 1972 vintage. The seller hadn't played it in years and so it was covered in dust and had what looked like old Hilo Strings which couldn't stay in tune long. I have Worth clears, Kala reds, Ko'olau golds, and Aquila. I had been on a Aquila addiction lately but was wondering if I should try any of the others first. Anyone here own a Kamaka pineapple? What string do you prefer? Does not have to be one of the 4 I already have. Mahalo for the input.

I use Worth Browns on my Kamaka standard (not a pineapple). Love 'em!

The Aquilas were good for a while, but they buzzed like crazy for some reason.

Just send me your Kamaka Pineapple, and I'll be glad to tell ya which strings sound best ;)

Btw Ahnko, startin' two threads for this (which I'm sure was a "mistake", eh?) -- I hope you're not transitioning from a post whore to a thread whore :p
