I just acquired a Koaloha Concert Septre and would appreciate any suggestions on the best strings for this beauty. I presently have it strung with Aquila Nylgut Low G Wound but it sounds a little flat in tone. What would be a livelier choice? Thanks for your input. PP

I have a tenor Sceptre - I use Worth Clear fluorocarbon strings (As recommended by KoAloha), and find them perfect for me - your mileage may vary.

Whatever strings came on it sound fine to me, so I'm leaving well enough alone. Where did you find this one?

No question, Worth clears.

I have Living Waters on my KoAloha concert. Sounds great.

I found it on Flea Market Music Marketplace.

That's a good place to shop, as well as here and Reverb. Does it have the amber tuning buttons or the white?

Mine are amber. How are they different?

Greetings, I too use Worth Clear fluorocarbon, high G, strings. I have tried other brands on my regular Tenor KoAloha and just don't like the sound of other brands as well as the Worth - although on my regular KoAloha Tenor, I play Low G strings. Enjoy the Sceptre. It is my favorite ukule of all time, for personal use I mean.
