Half guitar, half ukulele...100% fun. A unique mini 6-string nylon guitar that is sized like a baritone ukulele (17" scale) and plays like a standard tune guitar. The guitalele's tuning is pitched up to "A" (or up a 4th) at A/D/G/C/E/A.

Camsuke reviewed and played his:

He plays it here:

I bought it new, tuned it to regular guitar tuning and was disappointed. Since learned a Guitalele is better in A tuning. Has less than 20 minutes playing time on it.

Since then we have moved on to around 25 ukes and a Kanilea Islander Guitalele. I have no use for this little guy. Save some money at my expense. $75 shipped in CONUS.

If I hadn't just received an amazing custom guilele in the mail this week, this would be very tempting. I'm kinda tempted anyway.

But I have to add that James Hill is clearly playing a 4-string in that video and it has a fancy cutaway/bevel. I don't know what it is, but I'd find it very difficult to believe that started out as a GL-1.

Jim, you are SOOOO CORRECT. I saw a link indicating Hill was playing a GL-1. Never really looked at the video. Doesn't take eagle eyes to see it was a four string. Now I'm feeling my 70 years! Ugh. Where are my reading glasses for computer?

No reference to Hill - removed it. THANK YOU for catching that Jim!

Wrap it up I'll take it! PM sent.

Slip case would be appreciated if found.

All is well on this end! Thanks much!

Looked it over, tuned it up and played around a bit. Looked down and the pick holder made me skip a beat! How the heck did I not see that? lol
