I am the proud owner on this wonderful ukulele and have been wanting to a NUD for some time now.. unfortunately, I never got around to do a sound sample even though I play it regularly (background noises kept me from recording).

I was lucky to meet saltytri (the sole luthier behind Ono ukuleles) in person to pick this up on my way to the Baritone Retreat. Due to my destination, I asked saltytri (David) to tune it as a baritone and it sounds smooth and wonderful with perfect string tension.
This is the uke I love playing at night, it is pleasant, smooth and melodious.
David's workmanship is top notch and the uke feels solid to hold. The fret board dimensions for my hand are ideal and I like the look of the cantilever fretboard (This should be more common!)
The uke is able to deliver a strong clear sound from the lowest register to the highest. When played soft, the uke is not starved of sound and delivers notes without a loss in the definition of the note. Similar to my Moore Bettah, the low and the high have a clear and equal footed presence and one end does not feel compromised in the presence of the other (this becomes clear during arpeggios when the next note starts before the previous one dies out)
I will upload some more pics in addition to the ones in the original post above.
David, shared a part of Ukulele history while I was with him, serendipity led him to discover that he inherited a Manuel Nunes Soprano. I can now say I have played an iconic uke from the uke history books! Thanks David for sharing! http://www.ukulele.org/?Inductees:1997-1998:Manuel_Nunes
David has some interesting experiments brewing in his workshop, if you are visiting the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii's event in Nov, you should be able to try out Ono ukes!
