I know the basics like major, minor, 7th, sharp, flat, diminished, and augmented. How do you verbalize the chords with a + sign, and the ones with "no" and a number ..... G+, C7no3

I see them & write them all the time, but how do I say them when talking to people? Thanks.

G+ (or G aug) is an 'augmented chord', meaning the fifth is a half step higher than the regular flavour. 'G augmented' will do.

Gno3 isn't a 'classical' formula, but a new way of saying the third is left out - a power chord. The classical way of describing it is G5 (a G and the fifth above it, and nothing else). Unless of course, when you put a 7th in the mix as well. 'G fifth and seventh' will do, or 'G seventh, but no third' says the same.

Great references. Thanks for posting them.
