Does anyone know the specific differences between the stock tuners vs the optional upgraded tuners for Outdoor Ukuleles?
Trying to ascertain if the stock tuners are perfectly fine.
Thanks!

The one I got, from the previous owner, has the upgraded, and they're fine, although I have no comparison with the standard tuners. If you're undecided find as many reviews as you can. Hopefully, reviewers will discuss the differences. I didn't see much discussion of the tuners, but I think Vic might have mentioned them.

I've tried both. The tuners sold as the upgrade seem a bit sturdier, and the tuner buttons are the cool tulip shape. The non-upgrade tuners have smaller oval buttons, just like Grover 9b.

I've had both and could barely tell a difference.

How do the non-upgrade tuners hold tune versus the upgrades.

Did the non-upgrade tuners hold tune as good as the upgrades?

Yes. I have both and don’t see a need to upgrade.
