My latest video giving an in depth instruction on why to cut string ramps. Delivered in my best monotone :)

...so I'm wondering why you don't make the slots before you glue the bridge to the soundboard?

I do the same cut them after the bride is on. But I cut slots as well as I do not like using slotted bridge pins. If you don't you only have slots in the bridge and not the top and bridge plate so you would have to do it again anyway after the bridge was glued on

Cool. My Moore Bettah has these and the angles are what you described.
Wondering if I should DIY on my Tyde tenor I think it will help the uke.

If using the string through method ..Why not just drill the bridge holes at an angle to start with..it requires a simple bridge drilling jig.IMG_1465.jpg

yerrrr...... you could do that, but then it makes the threading the strings through it and into the gem stones that i use on the inside problematic.... + it's simple to do these ramps. So no for me.
