A friend wrote saying she has a K Yasuma & Co. Tenor uke for sale.
It's in pristine condition with no issues. She thinks it was built around 1950-53. I think it's Mahogany style 1

She's asking 450.00 for it. Any thoughts about it? I'll take a look at it Weds. so in the meantime am looking it up. Not too much info on them. Other than Martin took them to court for patent infringement.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

I had a concert that was a fine knock off of a Martin. In fact Martin sued them because the logo looked like Martin & Co. it was in a similar script and curved layout and in gold. That is a nice price for a vintage Tenor.

Did the research. Doesn't seem to be much info on Yasuma. What little there was, was favorable. I'll take a look tomorrow. I'm asked quite often, if I know or have something for sale. If it meets expectations, I'll buy it for that purpose. Last thing I need is another tenor. But I do love an old mahogany sound.
