I've had a good couple of days and evenings in the workshop, preparing some different woods for a pair of builds I'm working on concurrently. I have planed my tonewoods down just enough to remove the saw marks from the mill and my resawing. Next step is the drum sander, which begs the question: how close do you folks usually thin your wood? If you want a final finished thickness of 2mm, how thin do you go on the drum sanding? 2.2mm? 2.5?
