I still wasn't satisfied with the jig I made for gluing the fretboards..after two or three assemblies I noticed that the ends of the frets were slightly higher than at the middle, Not a lot but they slill needed a bit of dressing...I don't know why this was happening? maybe it was to do with the moisture in the Titebond (I never got round to testing it with epoxy) or it could be down to the thin type fretboards I use at .095" ??
So anyway I modified the the jig.... This time I gave it a baseplate made of ground flat stock tool steel , The idea is to clamp down all the frets level to start with...and tested it again ...This time it worked fine...The green bits are strips of rubber tape to support the fretboard ends.
