View Full Version : Which Uke? Strings through the headstock with tuners only on the back?

I remember seeing a head stock where the strings pass through the head stock after the nut and are wound on the back side of the head stock.
Any one seen the same? I cannot find the link again.. :-(

I also have that Kala cedar. I love it, and it seems like a very popular uke. I saw Brett McQueen playing in one of his instructional videos, and I had to have it.

It looks fantastic yet from a purely technical point of view its adding friction to the string which is a bad idea from a tuning stability point of view. Think of it being an instrument with a VERY sticky nut.
