I would be interested in opinions on the Ohana BK-22 Baritone Ukulele. Does it have side fret markers as well as fret markers on the face of the neck? Sound? Loud with the spruce top?

Looking at the picture on their site it doesn't look like is has side markers. I've found spruce and cedar tops to be louder than mahogany. I have one of each, an Ohana soprano and an Ohana concert. Why don't you call Ohana and ask them about the side markers? 562-997-9080. Or write them an email.
