Hello folks,

I put Martin fluorocarbon strings on my soprano about 6 months ago and the A string (gceA) makes a jarring stretching/creaking sound when I bend notes with the A string. The sound seems to be coming from the nut. Is this normal with this type of string? I do rather like the sound of the fluorocarbon, but this issue is a bit much. Has anyone experienced this issue? Thank you.

Definitely not normal. Is the nut slot wider than the string? If so, the string may be sliding around in the slot when you bend a note.
