Had a good laugh at this eBay ad. Beautiful uke though. The sellers in Japan always seem to price their stuff through the roof. But man, I really need some strings!

Ko'olaus are expensive, and this one comes with free shipping from Japan. That's unusual. I started pricing a new Ko'olau soprano, and when the price got over $2,000, I stopped. Still, those two free sets of strings... :)

Perhaps the strings are because it is used. Maybe they think it needs new ones, but they don't know how to put them on themselves. Price is relative though. I paid $85 for a peperoni pizza, two sodas, no refills in Bergan, Norway Things just cost a lot there. When you see prices world wide, you can't compare them to the US. We are not the world standard.

They offer free shipping because their prices are substantially higher than you can buy the same item for in the US. I'm sure they have had to pay import fees and shipping to Japan. Then back to the US.

I think someone bought it.
