Neck Grain Question

Relative newbie builder here.

I'm about to glue up the two halves of my neck lumber. Which of the options in the attached photo is the better way to align the grain?

Structurally? Aesthetically?

If it matters there will be a quarter inch laminate between the halves.

Option A. But orient the heel the other way up. Some figure is best shown when the wood is most quarter sawn and that orientation has the curve of the neck following the quarteredness of the neck most. It also has some structural advantages.

I agree. The heel will look nicer. And I wouldn’t add some laminate between, possibly a dark veneer for a really slim stringer line.
