New Kanilea look

Saw the first one of these on eBay today. Kanilea made some changes, announced at NAMM. They are now using dark ebony for the fingerboard and bridge instead of rosewood (CITES compliant), and also ebony instead of koa on the headplate. I like it, rich & classy looking IMO.

Some of the 2019 with the new finishes and bracing are starting to show up on HMS website. Gloss body with satin/silk neck .......Yipee! Finally, a non-gloss neck on their premium gloss bodies. Sweet.

They have pictures of the new models, but haven't updated the sound samples yet. I'm anxious to hear them with the new Tru-R bracing.

they're nice as usual from Kanilea. The pricing is crazy though

I'll take ebony over any other wood for fretboards and bridges. Good move, IMO.
