Kanilea to give PONO and OPIO some tough competition

Those look interesting, I'll watch this thread to see if anyone has bought one and has any feedback.

I am also interested. I would like to hear a comparison between that and the k-1 model. I am wondering if the mahogany sides, back and walnut fingerboard change the sound a bit. Looks like a great value in comparison with pono and other imports.

My favorite part of this is that they didn't skimp on the bones of the ukulele, using the same new Tru-R bracing that's in their higher-end models as well. The ukulele plays well and sounds great - same as any other Kanile'a - and it gives people a greater chance of owning a Hawaiian tenor at a more affordable price.
