A major miracle came out of the UU community last year.

Now that the ukes are taken care of (endless thanks, Mimmo!), I thought I'd write again this year to see if anyone has a connection to help Shropshire Music Foundation obtain 40 soprano gig bags for their newest project working with Rohingya refugee children in Bangladesh. The teens need something sturdy and padded (for example, Liz Shropshire really likes the 15mm Hola soprano bags on Amazon.)

Even a bulk discount would be appreciated - I can throw some money at it, and perhaps others would.
Help or advice appreciated!

Here is an Amazon link to all items needed with Shropshire address, also a link to Liz's Facebook post with a fundraiser:

If you want to learn more, here's a description from my last post:

"On a shoestring budget, Liz Shropshire and a few staff create music programs for kids in refugee camps all over the world. They are ASTONISHING and have touched thousands of lives.

And they do it with ukuleles! The way they do this is to give volunteer teen leaders a ukulele, teach them how to play it, and then train those teen leaders to work with younger kids (who usually sing and learn to play the penny whistle or a harmonica). Much of the time, the instrument given to a child is the single thing a child owns (imagine a penny whistle as your only belonging!).

What a great cause; and the above Facebook post (with the Amazon link) makes it easy to have a gig bag sent directly to the Shropshire Foundation.

Thanks, Bill!

Just a note on the Amazon link: the Shopshire address dropped out when I used my android phone, but it works fine on a PC...

They also have immediate need for Uke tuners and other musical supplies, all listed on the Amazon link!

Lots of very reasonably-priced items!!

Yup!
One can be part of this amazing worldwide project for kids for the price of a pack of uke strings, or a box of pencils!
Less than a couple of boxes of girl scout cookies! ;>)
