My wheels have been turning again . . . I'm considering building a Vita-like Baritone uke (as if I need more projects!). Stew-Mac had some torrified Sitka on sale this week, so I snagged a soundboard set. Don't know what back/side wood I want yet. I found some free Baritone plans on the web, so I think I can print those and modify the shape to fit. Anyone else built such a beast? I'd be interested in any thoughts or suggestions you might have.
I want to go with a more unusual shape for this project. I really like the looks and sound of the Harpkit Baritone uke kit, but at $320, it's a bit more than I want to invest in a kit. I think I can go DIY for 1/2 or less that amount.
