If you could have one non-custom ukulele of your choice right now, what specifically would it be?
Remember, we're talking non-custom ukes, realistically one when you placed an order with Ex: MGM, the makers factory,
or online it would arrive in a week or two.

A Kanilea K1-T. Once I take it to the factory sometime soon to add an active pickup, it'll be all I ever need.

Nothing expensive for me.

My current object of desire is a Kala solid acacia tenor with the slot headstock. ** drool **

Or any decent solid koa concert uke.

Now I have one of each soprano, concert and tenor in solid wood I totally can't justify the expense of another uke. But if I was going for another, it would be one of those, the Kala acacia tenor or a koa concert.

I'll see them in my dreams! :D

I'd want a Kamaka tenor with a pickup... I guess like Aldrine's, but less dirty. And I think I'd have someone who really knows what they're doing put a strap button on the heel... I don't know if that's blasphemous or not, but I can't stand and play a tenor without a strap.

Another K for the pile so maybe a Kamaka concert or at long last a sweet vintage Kumalae with rope binding and that sexy 20's narrow waist. I'd treasure that.

Ok....Seriously....Why would anyone in they're right mind pay that much for a uke? I can understand up to 2-3k but 14k?...Im perplexed

A Kanile`a tenor with nicely flamed koa. (A K1-T is fine but I think the flame koa would make it a custom.)

My sentiments, exactly! There are tons of ukes I'd like....but if I had to pick just one, this is what I'd take.

I dearly love my K2 Kanile'a tenor, but if money was no object, I'd love to get one of the Kanile'a Hawaiian Island tenors with curly koa. I'd probably display it more than play it, but I think they are really cool.

Chuck does make some sweet instruments. Depending on Availibility, when I got mine there was no availible NSB ukes, but Chuck put one in his next building schedule.

For a non custom uke I think I would get a Kanilea K1 Tenor. I like my uke simple and sounding awsome. I played a K2 SM Tenor a while back and it just felt so right in my hands.

Ya, I'd have to go for the Sceptre. But then, I'd also need a Batman cape to wear when i played it.

Shoots. If Moore Bettah is considered non-custom, can I have a Dominator uke since he has made a couple for others?

The ones pictured are what Chuck calls "Simple Elegance" and what I would term as Semi Custom for lack of a better term. They are aesthetically simple compared to his normal builds. He may or may not have one on hand, hence the line "depending on availability". But I would definetly order one of them.

haha, this thread hurts! :)It's like a rhetorical question or one of the steps in curing UAS.

But, if it must be answered, I love my Soprano Kamaka. It is the instrument I started learning from and the sound I fell in love with. I have it currently strung in low G, Aquilas. I noticed that as time passes, it develops a sweeter sound and you don't even have to strum it for it to sing. you just have to tap on the string. :D

Nice! That is the fabuloso KoAloha Tenor, it is truly "my love"(koa-aloha means "your love")

And I should of known you guys would figure out loopholes haha. I should of specifically said mass produced and readily available non-custom ukes(ex: kamaka, koaloha, kanilea, honu..etc) although I don't blame seeso for picking a $13,000 1 of 7 santo uke :D

Regardless, it is GREAT to know and focus on what you want, rather then what you don't want.

I hope santy-clause comes early for you all this year, and when I win the Florida lottery don't be shocked when I send you a PM asking for your name and address, just do it ;)

Nothing crazy, just the Lanikai Maple Concert.

Actually, that's probably gonna be my next uke anyway...
