I think that last scene with Roy Batty's monologue is brilliant. The machine man is more human
than Deckard and shows compassion by saving the man who wants to kill him.
Then there is the release of the white dove, which in Christian circles symbolises
the Holy Spirit... Batty knows he is going to die and although a Replicant you
get the feeling that by releasing the dove he is giving up his "spirit"
