Hit the road for a 6 mo job contract in Alaska with only a sad little Kala garage sale soprano. It's not doing it for me. It's okay but it doesn't sing. Really need a Hawaii made, koa tenor or concert with that sweet ring. I looked back 10 pages here but the ones I really liked were already sold. Help a girl out? THANKS!

Would you consider this? https://www.theukulelesite.com/ukulele-market/pono-mtd-sp-spruce-top-mahogany-tenor-deluxe.html
I've got one that's in excellent condition, but has mismatched strap buttons. I could let it go for $300 w/case + shipping.

Got a Martin KC-1 fs. Koa, not made in Hawaii, but plays and sounds as well as most from there. Super nice playing. New hard case with it. Also , a Mele mahogany pineapple concert. Very warm sounding, with that big sound a pineapple gets.... Bill D

Bill, I'm looking up the Martin but don't see a KC-1 model. What am I missing?

I have a nice Kala spruce top concert that I left at home since I don't play it. Is it the spruce? Sorry, I gotta go koa this time, but thank you so much! I really appreciate the offer.

Aaaah. Ok, now I see. The Martin's are really good, for sure, but I'm still looking for that island thing.
