Selling my all original 1930 Martin 5K ukulele. It is in excellent condition for its age, with no cracks or repairs. The finish is original and has some modest playwear on either side of the fretboard extension. The nut, saddle, tuners and frets are original. Comes in the original purple corduroy-lined case which is also in great shape. The only appointment on this uke that has changed since 1930 is the presence of gut strings (now nylon). It plays super smooth and has aged well, with a rich sound that only comes from a uke made in this era. Very few of these were produced and even fewer have survived this long. Own one of the earliest pieces of Martin ukulele history. A true testament to the unprecedented craftsmanship of Martin’s Golden Era of instrument making. $11,500. Able to be shipped worldwide. 3381C18D-A147-4BDD-9B3B-2DB44EC9C3C7.jpgB0D1B5F8-76CA-40B3-B64B-6A54DEC22582.jpg97D2F501-C4D1-4A83-BF16-92D9F237021B.jpg3E6D396C-F142-4D45-8159-976B742B364B.jpgBCFDBF7E-E4CA-436E-BC64-C4FD36497ABD.jpg

Super fun to see this.
Are you willing to share the history, if you know it? (who played it, etc.)

I don’t know of any well-known musicians that played it, although I’m sure it has passed through some notable hands. It was owned for a time by Marty Turman, who used to own the D’Angelico brand.
