Every month we play in a little cafe - group playing, not a performance.
Since it is little, I thought I'd leave the case home. When we were finished, it was pouring outside, and we had a bit of a walk to the car. I used my Fluke as an umbrella or hat. The plastic bottom kept my head dry. When I got in the car, I wiped the rain off the neck, and it was good as new.

If I had brought an expensive wooden uke, I don't know what I would have done because I was riding in a car with others. I guess I would have protected it as much as possible and then tried to dry it in the car. Ukulele wood is treated, of course, but I still wouldn't want to get one soaked. The day was sunny, with no rain forecast.
