For those interested these non-custom tenors from The Rebel don’t come up often, and there is currently a matching pair of “Particle” tenors over at HMS. (It was also in their marketing email today)

The podcast featuring them was great to listen to, too.

They won’t last long, so wanted to give them a shout out here where they’ll be appreciated the most!

2 of the 3 Rebels are already gone.

Wow. I saw the Rebel email but am not on the Facebook alert for Koaloha. That and the Rebels are truly drool worthy. Let's get the tissues and towels. Wow. I think I'm more wanting the pineapple Sunday. Wow. So many wows. :)
But I'm already spending in other directions. Oh well the Rebel and Pineapple Sunday will wait for another day and some other happy uke players will enjoy those.

I've had my Particle tenor for almost a week now and I really like it. Build quality is top notch, the woods are beautiful, and the tone is big and open. I need to do a proper NUD and post a few pictures.

You bought Kimo’s, didn’t you... :D

Yes, I did. :) I may be too lazy to do a NUD so here are some pictures.

The ebony on the back, in particular, is just mesmerizing to look at. It was pretty difficult to get a decent picture of it due to the gloss though.

Wowee! There is a pretty good shot of the back in there. I’ll admit, when he offered it to me and I had to pass, I didn’t even look at the pictures in the listing. It was too painful! That said, I’m happy seeing photos when it isn’t for sale, and it looks amazing.

Also, #13 is gone. Bye, bye Rebels. Until next time.

Kind of glad I didn't see this thread til they were gone!

It's a beauty. The style of your ukulele I prefer with the lighter wood facing the player. Really beautiful. Enjoy. :)

Shame, shame, shame on you.
YOU are just wreaking havoc here, sir!

Does anyone know why they are called "Particle"? Makes me think of particle board (not a good thought for musical instruments, especially ones in that price range).

If you look in their website, there’re ukes called atom, quark and alchemist. I guess this is the physics range ukes just like their dessert range ukes.

Now they need to release ukulele string based on (wait for it...) string theory.
