I have for sale this stunning Kanile’a K-1CE Concert size Uke which is virtually new and unused.
Bought new 3 months ago for my wife but has only been played 3 times for a total of approx. 30mins.
It has the most beautiful swirling Koa gloss finish and sounds amazing.
Comes in a new Tweed Kala hard case.

Located in the UK so probably best to say UK sale only.

Selling for £650.

Apologies for the upside down pics. I’ve tried reversing them but nothing I do seems to work !

Tempting. Do you know when it was made?

I’ve looked at the sound hole label and there is no date listed only the serial number which is 0418 - 18281.

"0418" refers to a completion date of April 2018.

It's a beautiful instrument!

Some questions:
-- Does it have the new TRU-R (Total Resonating`Ukulele-Redesigned) bracing system or the older TRU system?
-- Does it have single open-geared tuners or two-on-a-plate tuners (I'll try to attach photos)?
-- Are the fretboard and bridge ebony?
-- Does it have ebony or plastic bridge pins?
-- Where did you get it, and has any setup been done?
-- Does it have strap pins or any other accessories?
Whew, a lot of questions!

Hi Skywalker,
Here are the answers to your questions:
It has the older TRU bracing system.
It has the single open geared tuners.
Fretboard and bridge are ebony.
It came with plastic bridge pins but I have replaced them with ebony pins with abalone dots.
I got it from The Uke Room in Ross On Wye , UK and they did the set up.
No strap pins fitted or any other accessories.
Hope this helps.
Jon.

I remember seeing this on The UkeRoom/ebay. I'm not sure if they had it from new. It's very distinctive, it would have made a very nice K2. I'm still tempted so somebody please remove it from temptation.

I certainly hope it was new ! It was sold to me by the Uke Room as a new instrument .

Absolutely brand new. We only have a few second hand ukes in commission at The Uke Room. I remember this one well as it has an incredible grain on the front. It’s a really special uke so would heartily recommend it.
Cheers,
Matt

Matt, thanks very much for your confirmation of the Uke’s provenance.
Regards.
Jon.

My first real quality uke was a Kanile'a K-1c, which I bought on this forum 10+ years ago. I still have it, and play it often.....and in many ways prefer it over the custom ukes that I own. Rich sound, wonderful playability...…….just an all around fantastic instrument. And the koa on this one is spectacular! Someone will be extremely pleased.

That is spectacular koa. Just gorgeous.

Ko'Aloha sound wrapped in beautiful wood. How could you go wrong?

I'd snap that up if I played Concert size.
