Nickie, I love how you present your laugh in print, starting with the "Bwaaa" !! It conveys a sense of "bursting out laughing" that my run-of-the-mill "Hahahahaha" can't quite do... I'm going to add it to my toolbox !!

Making a deal with the Devil for musical talent is quite real and no supernatural figure is required and unfortunately, no shortcuts.
The real selling your soul for talent goes like this.

NOTHING else in your life matters other than music. You forsake family and friends for time to practice and play and in your own mind you're never good enough. You keep on practicing and practicing until you're better yet you keep on lifting the bar on yourself so you're never quite satisfied.


The notion of selling your soul to a mythical entity for talent probably came from the era when coloured people had to work hard all day in the fields so how in hell did they find the time to practice to be THAT good.

Just forsaking everything in your life to practice a lot, is hell enough.
