If you aren’t familiar, The Magnetic Fields is an excellent if somewhat ironic band/singer/songwriter. His album 69 love songs is superb and very ukulele relevant. Worth checking out, maybe starting with “nothing matters when we’re dancing”. I’m surprised there isn’t a songbook of his released for the ukulele...

Stephin Merritt is so talented, and uses his ukulele to compose most songs. I heard an interview with him that was really interesting, about bringing it to bars and writing songs and getting too drunk to drive home and forgetting the song lyrics at the bar, etc. He also has a quote in some uke book I read--I'll try to find it and post later, it was good.

“Andrew in Drag” is such a good song “The Book of Love” is modern classic.

a shot me and my friend Stephen took at "come back from san francisco" a few weeks back.

Thanks! Nice ukeing and singing. One of you sounds a lot like Merritt. Who did the artwork? It's charming.
