Of somewhat "parochial" interest? Hey, it's a rainy day in the UK and I sometimes leave the TV on "in the background"... :p

One of (many!) UK Daytime "Antiques Shows" (Bargain Hunt; Ep:38; Series 53; from Harrogate) featured two of the late George Formby's instruments. Purchased from his estate (with provenance) and sold by collectors at recent auctions):

A Keech "Longscale"(?) for £11.5k
A Dallas "D" Banjo-ukulele for £12.5k

Way beyond my budget. lol. But a history of string driven things is interesting? :D

I wonder how many ukes he had.

I’m suddenly reminded of an old juvenile joke, which I think can be adapted.

“How does an uku-holic count the number of ukuleles they have?”
One, two, three, four, five, and another, and another, and another

As a favorite Ukulele Christmas Song, for which I have the chord sheet, goes...
🎶 All I want for Christmas is another Ukulele, hanging in my stocking, on the Christmas tree 🎶

I have several ukulele ornaments for the tree. :)
