Unless there is a direct light on an all black fretboard, I'm never quite sure my always-a-beginner fingers are placed correctly. But after seeing Jerryc41's thread on using one of neck illusions prints https://forum.ukuleleunderground.co...lusions-Starry-Night&highlight=neck+illusions, I called them and told them my problem. My idea was to get a light print that would then make the black frets stand out.

I was told they could make anything I wanted, but I decided on their second lightest pattern (Leonardo). They not only sent it quickly, but also included some extra pieces for the fret marks both in black and brown. It's breathed new life into my 14 y/o fluke m10 that's been standing in the corner unused. It's worked out so well, I'm thinking of buying an Enya Nova U.FlukeLeonardo.jpg

Agreed, very nice! Those are a great idea. Was it easy to put on?

I love the look of that Leonardo Neck Illusion. (He's one of my historical heroes.) It's subtle and a brilliant use of one of his self-portrait sketches.

I'll have to think about doing this to one of my tenors...

That's beautiful! I spent almost $200 having two fretboards replaced on Flukes, plus the driving and waiting time. If only I had know about Neck Illusions back then.

Those look great. Link. I’ve been painting my frets on my Fluke tenor and adding fretboard markers. This is a much better solution.

At first, I struggled with the polycarbonate fretboard with my Firefly as well. Once I got used to the feel of the instrument it was less of an issue but it certainly is still a bit of a pain to see the fretboard when I'm not fretting properly. I think I'm just going to practice more so I can get more familiar with the instrument, but this is a really elegant solution to the problem for sure. Looks proper nice as well. :)

The link is https://neckillusions.com
The cost was $11.95 + shipping (around $16 total)
Putting them on was easy. I moved one of them three times with no problems and it is as secure as all the others.
