Hi guys, I would like to know your opinion on the wood of this uke. Does this uke look like a koa uke??

I do own a few all koa ukes from Koaloha, Pahu kani, G-String, etc.... And this uke look strangely like koa.

What do you think

Thanks

As long as this thread is still here.....it looks a lot like koa to me. It reminds me of the old white label Kamakas (plain, straight grain koa before hig gloss finish was used.)
Or it could be another wood in the acacia family.

Thanks guys for your opinion. I also think it's koa. From what the owner said, it's a Hohner uke.

I think we're far from the Kamaka here. I just didn't know that Hohner are doing ukes....well I know that they do own Lanikai now but this is a uke that is dated like 15 years ago.
