So, I recently was able to use an uke for the first time and immediately after playing it I knew I wanted one. I learned a few chords, but at home I'm not able to practice because I lack an uke haha

So, I know pretty much nothing about ukes, but I want a fairly good one (not necessarily just for beginners) for a decent price. I know I'll probably be sticking with my first uke for a good while. I play guitar and I haven't changed my acoustic guitar (which belonged to my dad since forever), and I've only replaced my electric once. I'm not too serious with my instrument playing to spend $100+ on them, but serious enough to use them everyday, to practice and have fun. :)

I found some online, but after reading reviews I haven't really seen anything too good. Here's what I found:

If anyone has any other suggestions, any other information, or just pretty much what to buy please let me know. I would like to buy an uke really soon. I'm so anxious to learn some songs. :)

Thanks for reading.

you've listed a variety of different ukes

first thing you gotta decide what size uke you want: a soprano, concert, tenor or baritone uke?

you're budget is sorted, $100 you can get any of the above sizes...

i'd recommend a lanikai 21 uke to start off, my first serious uke was a lanikai 21-tenor and i still play it every day.

I have to say that a great Ukulele for the price was the Lanikai LU-21, I got a pineapple one from musiciansfriends.com. It sounds great and really never goes out of tune. Deffinetly gets used everyday. I have not touched my guitars for about 6 months because of this lil baby. Good luck, but any choice u make will work out.

yeah ames i told you that a Lanikai LU-21 is a good uke to start out with tenor is a good size btw did you see the SF uke meet up vid on the front page xD haha i be jammin in it

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm gonna get that Lanikai LU-21. I'm hella excited now. :D
