it hasn't been sent to my country yet, but I would like to shart the pics

for everybody, it's unusual Martin 2K uke I haven't ever seen before.

Basically, martin ukes' fingerboard usually are built by rosewood or mahogany,

but this uke's fingerboard is built by Koa(maybe, I am not sure, it's looks like)

I have asked "Ukulele Hall of Fame Museum",

and they answered me as follows:

Hi Hank -

That's a nice old Martin 2k you are getting. You are correct that it is an unusual model. This looks to be a very early style 2K. Martin first produced 2k ukuleles in 1919. Most were made for the Southern California Music Company, and were stamped on the back of the headstock with the Southern California Music Company stamp. So it is interesting to see such an early one with a Martin stamp on it. Another sign that it is a very early Martin is that the position markers are on the 5th, 7th, and 9th frets. By 1920 or 1921 Martin had changed to using 5, 7, 10 as the frets for the position markers. The koa wood (?) fingerboard is definitely very early and unusual.

I'd guess that your ukulele is from 1919 and is one of the very few from that period that isn't marked with the Southern Cal stamp. It may be that some of the earliest ones were sent before the SoCal stamp was made up. Thanks for sharing the photos.

So I think may this one is really rare, but I more care about whether

it can sound beautifully
